Digital Marketing Specialist vacancy at Big Fish School of Digital Filmmaking
Big Fish School of Digital Filmmaking is an accredited, multi-award-winning nonprofit company (NPO). Big Fish seeks to appoint a Digital Marketing Specialist, based in either Johannesburg, Cape Town or the Cloud.
The successful candidate will lead an exciting new global project that will operate low cost around the clock social justice mobile telephone and internet television channels.
The Specialist should be a talented and forward-thinking individual aswell as enthusiastic, driven and ambitious, to join a young and vibrant team and grow this game changing social media project.
As a strong communicator and leader you will be familiar with all of the latest trends in digital, an expert with social media, competent with WordPress and Photoshop, website management and a digital all rounder. Reporting to the Director of Business Development and managing a team of social media interns.
*Support the development and implementation of a strategic plan for digital marketing communications and client journey.
*Implement channel strategy to drive traffic towards the mobile and internet content across all territories.
*Have an understanding of all traffic-driving mechanisms and actively engage in optimising use of engagement with those channels
*Have a working knowledge of and passion for SEO, Google Analytics, Vimeo, Vine, Twitter, Facebook, Whatsapp etc
*Plan, develop and execute compelling e-mail, social media and digital campaigns for all platforms including cross marketing between platforms
*Regularly evaluating and testing new and innovative communications tactics, documenting the results and sharing best practices with the team.
*Support the roll out team with channel development from concept to commercialisation through digital channels.
*Work cross functionally with the business development and stakeholder engagement unit, translating priority member segmentation needs into effective inspiring digital communications with detailed plans that include site development, enhancements to drive engagement and usage and new assets that support our multi-channel ambition.
*Manage data analysis and metrics to measure the performance of engagement and traffic-driving initiatives plus regular use of such data to guide decisions and recommendations.
*Develop and deliver ad-hoc activity to drive acquisition, retention and ‘reactivation’ of viewers
*Execute all digital campaigns with complete performance metrics, results analysis and reporting.
*Manage the digital communications team project workflow: manage teams to deadlines, work with relevant resources for development, eliminate roadblocks.
*Develop the digital communications team both as individuals and as a working group to establish communications excellence across both marketing and triggered communications.
