Oscar Rachabane is a quirky hipster from Soweto of great distinction amongst his peers and fans alike.
Part of a lineage of an illustrious family of reedmen, Oscar is the grandson of legendary saxophonist Barney Rachabane. He has carved a niche himself as a no-holes-barred, soulful saxophonist.
With an astounding jazz vocabulary and a mastery of South African Mbaqanga, his is a sound deeply entrenched in the musical history of South Africa.
