Established in 2015, Burien Film Festival is a three-day annual short film festival in Burien, Washington. The film festival was founded to celebrate local and international short film arts, and to shine a spotlight on Burien.
Burien Film Festival hosts an International Film Crawl. Four venues featuring the best international short films curated by arts writer T.S. Flock, writer for, and co-founder of, Vanguard Seattle.
BFF runs ancillary programs throughout the year.
International Short Film Festival – 30 of the best films will be shown in our International Film Crawl curated by T.S. Flock, arts writer for Vanguard Seattle. Five venues screen five curated film collections. Best Film, Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Actor, Best Lighting, Best Sound, Best Screenplay will be awarded (laurel).
Hyperlocal Burien 4 – 7 min. Short Film Festival awards the top three films with cash awards.
1st – $500
2nd – $250
3rd – $100 .
International Short Film Contest – Must be 15 minutes maximum.
Hyperlocal Burien 5 – 7 Min. Short Film Contest – 4 – 7 minutes maximum. Entry must follow the stated guidelines for content to qualify.
