8th Continental Essay Competition for the year 2021
Theme: “The role of Standardisation in promoting Arts, Culture and Heritage – The Creative Economy in Africa”
University and College Students under the age of 35 years eligible to participate
The competition intends to award prizes in three categories: national, regional, and continental. In this regard, ARSO is requesting that all African National Standards Bodies (NSBs) coordinate the competition at the national level and distribute the attached documents (8th Continental Essay Concept Paper and Registration Form) to the various universities and colleges participating in the competition. The competition is supposed to be run by the NSB at the national level. This includes submitting specific documents to colleges and universities, collecting essays from applicants, assessing them, and awarding or recognising the winners as applicable to the NSB.
Students in African institutions of higher learning (colleges/universities accredited by their local commission of higher education) are invited to submit essays on the theme “The role of Standardisation in promoting Arts, Culture, and Heritage – The Creative Economy in Africa.” to their respective National Standards Bodies (NSBs) email addresses. Confirm the submission dates with your respective NSBs.
