The Colorado Prize for Poetry is an international award for book manuscripts. It was founded in 1995.
The Colorado Prize for Poetry believes that talented minds should get the opportunity to reach their audience and aims to connect writers and readers by publishing exceptional writing. The competition is organized by Center for Literary Publishing at Colorado State University.
Center for Literary Publishing’s mission is to publish contemporary short fiction, poetry, and nonfiction. They also offer graduate students opportunities to learn about literature. The students can participate in literary publishing through a professional internship as well.
The Center was established in 1992 and is housed in the English Department at Colorado State University.
